POUND SAND
"Pound sand!" she exclaimed
"Pound sand," she repeated
Making it clear these
Were attentions unwanted

Once those were words
That set his heart racing
As his libido relived
The thrill of that night

How did the passion
Turn on it's axis?
He thought of a night
They shared on the beach

Merely a walk
Till the moonlight engulfed them
Sand as a backbone
To amorous force

It's hard to remember
The source of the twinkling
Was it the stars
Or the fire in her eyes?

He started the kiss
But then she took over
Pulling him closer
Until he was inside

"Pound sand" she had moaned
"And me along with it"
"Harder and faster"
"Don't ever stop"

A night like that
Begs for repeating
So when the tide awoke them
He asked when they could

She kissed him softly
And seemed to assure him
They would do it again
When she said "It's been fun."

Calls went unanswered
No reply to the messages
"Lets get together.
What works for you?"

Then one day in Starbucks
She's sipping a latte
"Did you get my messages?"
"Have you been away?"

"Pound sand!" she exclaimed
"Pound sand," she repeated
Making it clear these
Were attentions unwanted

Once those were words
That set his heart racing
Now they abraded
Like sand in his shorts
