TRANSPARENCY
You answer the door in Saran Wrap
Yet the smile on your face
Is the first thing I see
As your transparent coating reminds me
You can see right through me

You are posed at the top of a mountain
Before a dusky azure sky
Which pales when compared to your body
Yet splendor is less in the endless canyon
Than in hearing the sound of your voice

You know how to keep it exciting
You always have something new
But the big thrills are below the surface
In the many ways you remind me
You can see right through me

The way that you share what's inside you
Is the thing that moves me the most
It's what makes me want to do the same
Besides, where would I hide any secrets
When you can see right through me

Making love in a picture window
Overlooking the Rose Bowl Parade
Who cares if anyone sees us
Your interior view is what matters
I know you can see right through me

My motivation is really
Nothing more than plain
I just want you to love me
Not for the surface but for what's revealed
When you see right through me
