BREAK MY FALL
From the moment I first saw her smiling
I knew I would lose all control
That I would need her more than want her
Spinning in her gravitational pull
Now I know that I'm in trouble
Won't somebody please break my fall

I know there are things I can't resist
And she has me on her line
I don't even know if she wants me
Just that I can't get her off my mind
All she has to do is bend a finger
And I'm panting like the lap dog I've become

From the moment I first saw her smiling
I knew I would lose all control
That I would need her more than want her
Spinning in her gravitational pull
Now I know that I'm in trouble
Won't somebody please break my fall

My head tells me I'm not ready
But she's taken control of my heart
I don't like where this is going
Yet I can't make myself say "stop"
The fact that I know what's coming
Won't make the crash hurt any less

From the moment I first saw her smiling
I knew I would lose all control
That I would need her more than want her
Spinning in her gravitational pull
Now I know that I'm in trouble
Won't somebody please break my fall

When will she pull the rug out?
The suspense is killing me now
The pre-emptive strike is tempting
But I can't be the one to make it stop
It'll hurt the same when it's over
So why make the end happen so soon

From the moment I first saw her smiling
I knew I would lose all control
That I would need her more than want her
Spinning in her gravitational pull
Now I know that I'm in trouble
Won't somebody please break my fall
