TWISTING IN THE WIND
Well, I guess you have some things to say
Though I don't know what they are
But if you just keep pushing me away
Then we won't get very far

I wish I had you here beside me
So I could look into your eyes
But the fact is that you're far away
And we live on telephone lines

Like a dog that's injured
You run away and hide
I can sense the fear you're feeling
But that's no way to share our lives

So I sit here waiting
Twisting in the wind
Looking for my own protection
So you can't shut me out again

If you want me inside you
Then you have to let me in
Because we can't get any closer
While I'm twisting in the wind
